We gathered to speak our rights
\nThey came and told us we have none
\nWe resisted them with our fights
\nThey called us names and snatched our bun.
\nThey told everybody we were evil, enemies of the nation
\nHypocrites\u00a0with words and heckled our mission.<\/p>\n
Some who did not believe their tongue
\nWere made to swear on god
\nThey had to prove their\u00a0innocence
\nWith their hand on their children’s head<\/p>\n
We kept demanding for what was ours.
\nBullets,\u00a0grenades\u00a0were dropped in showers
\nThe fat man on the chair would laugh
\nMeat on his plates and eyes at the flat screen plasma.<\/p>\n
We persisted.
\nSome of us fell.
\nSome of us lived for another day so that they could tell the tale<\/p>\n
What happened next still awaits in future,
\nWhen the fat man ran and they dropped his\u00a0couture.
\nNo one believed their vague propaganda any more
\nWe were asked for the rights and therefore<\/p>\n
The last we talked some asked us our names.
\nWe said call us Dear Comrades.<\/p>\n
