    ದೇಶದ ಆರ್ಥಿಕತೆಗೆ ಬಹುದೊಡ್ದ ಕೊಡುಗೆಯನ್ನೇ ನೀಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ಗಾರ್ಮೆಂಟ್ಸ್ ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕರ ಜೀವನ ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಕಳೆದೆರೆಡು ಸಂಚಿಕೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಓದಿದ್ದೀರಿ.. ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕರಾಗಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಮಹಿಳೆಯರಾಗಿ ಇವರು ಅನುಭವಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಪದೇ ಪದೇ ಅಲ್ಪವಿರಾಮ ಬೀಳುತ್ತಲೇ ಇದೆ. ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ನೈಜ ಉದಾಹರಣೆ ಇಲ್ಲಿದೆ. ಆಕೆ ಮೈಸೂರು ರಸ್ತೆಯ ಗಾರ್ಮೆಂಟ್ಸ್ ಕಾರ್ಖಾನೆಯೊಂದರಲ್ಲಿ ಟೈಲರ್ ಆಗಿ ದುಡಿಯುತ್ತಿರುವ 38 ವಯಸ್ಸಿನ ಮಹಿಳೆ. ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಕಳೆದ 3 ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ದುಡಿಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾಳೆ. ಗಾರ್ಮೆಂಟ್ಸ್ ಉದ್ಯಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಕೆಗಿರುವ ಒಟ್ಟಾರೆ ಅನುಭವ ಹನ್ನೊಂದು ವರ್ಷಗಳದ್ದು. ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಸಂಘಟನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ತೊಡಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ಈಕೆ,…

  • ದುಡಿಯುವ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಲಾಲನೆ-ಪಾಲನೆ

    ದಿಯರ ಹಾಗೂ ಶಿಶುಪಾಲನಾ ಕೇಂದ್ರಗಳ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣವಾಗಲಿ ಗಾರ್ಮೆಂಟ್ಸ್ ಕಾರ್ಖಾನೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ 30ಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಅಧಿಕ ಮಹಿಳಯರಿದ್ದರೆ, ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಬಾಲವಾಡಿ ಇರಲೇಬೇಕೆಂದು ಕಾನೂನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತದೆ. ಆದರೆ, 500ಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಮಹಿಳಾ ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕರರು ದುಡಿಯುವ ಕಾರ್ಖಾನೆಗಳಲ್ಲೂ ಬಾಲವಾಡಿ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ ಕಾಣಸಿಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಇದ್ದರೂ ಅದು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಅಸಮರ್ಪಕವಾಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ. ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯವಾಗಿ ತಿಳಿದಿರುವಂತೆ, ಮಹಿಳಾ ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕರ ಹೆರಿಗೆ ರಜೆ 3 ತಿಂಗಳು. ಆದರೆ, ಬಾಲವಾಡಿಗೆ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಕರೆತರಲು ನಿಗದಿ ಮಾಡಿರುವ ವಯೋಮಿತಿ 6 ತಿಂಗಳಿಂದ 6 ವರ್ಷ. ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ನೋಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಸಲುವಾಗಿ ಅನೇಕ ತಾಯಂದಿರು…
